Delhi-NCR News: To stop the increasing impact of pollution in the NCR areas including the capital Delhi, GRAP (Graded Action Plan) has been implemented from today. Under this, many steps will be taken to keep the air quality clean in the capital. It is reported that the implementation of this action plan will affect the operation of old vehicles and people will not be able to take their old vehicles on the roads.
According to the information received, if the Air Quality Index (AQI) in the capital crosses the 200 mark, then old vehicles will be completely banned in NCR areas including Delhi. If this figure goes beyond 400, then in this situation the operation of BS-3 petrol and BS-4 diesel vehicles will also be banned.
GRAP implemented from today
Let us tell you that GRAP (Graded Action Plan) has been implemented in Delhi and NCR areas from October 1 itself. This information was given to the people earlier also by the government. Under this, many steps will be taken to improve the air quality. In this, its impact will be seen on polluting vehicles as well as factories related to some industries.
There will be a ban on operation of these vehicles
Let us tell you that with the worsening of AQI level, restrictions on many types of vehicles will be seen in the capital. Under this, in the first phase, operation of vehicles running on diesel and petrol which are overaged will be banned. Under the second phase of AQI, if the air quality crosses 200, burning of coal and wood will be prohibited in hotels and other places. Under its third phase, if the air quality crosses 300, it has been said that BS-3 petrol and BS-4 diesel powered vehicles will also be banned in NCR areas including Delhi. At the same time, if AQI crosses the level of 450, then vehicles running on CNG and diesel outside Delhi will also be banned.
