The meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC), the apex body of the Congress, was held today on 16 October. Sonia Gandhi presided over the meeting. This meeting proved to be important for the election strategy. In the meeting, Sonia Gandhi also clarified her stand regarding the discord in the Congress from the upcoming elections. 1. Sonia Gandhi presided over the meeting. Many big leaders including Rahul Gandhi were present in the meeting.
Initiating the meeting, Sonia Gandhi said that the entire organization wants to revive the Congress. But for this unity and the interests of the party need to be kept paramount. Above all, it needs self-control and discipline.
3.Sonia Gandhi also targeted the Modi government in the meeting. He said that the prices of petrol to domestic gas cylinders are increasing continuously. Modi government has only one agenda: Sell… Sell… and Sell…. The present government is not able to handle government assets. Going into losses, the government is auctioning properties.
4. Sonia also surrounded the government regarding the Lakhimpur violence. He said that the shocking incidents of Lakhimpur-Kheri show the mindset of the BJP recently.
5. Taking a jibe at the disgruntled leaders, Sonia said – If you all allow me to say so, then I will keep myself as full time party president. We have never let issues of public importance and concern go unnoticed, but there is no need to talk to me through the media.

6. In a resolution on the agrarian crisis, the CWC wrote that we reiterate our relentless resolve to fight the battle with farmers and farm laborers to defeat the willful attacks by the Modi government on India’s Annadata.
7. Between November 14-29, Congress will organize a mass movement regarding inflation.
8. Congress will launch a massive membership drive on November 1.
9. The nomination of members for the organizational elections will start from November 1, 2021 and will run till March 31, 2022.
10. The election of Congress President will be held between 21st August to 20th September 2022.
11. In the press conference, KC Venugopal said that three resolutions have been passed on political issues and agricultural issues.
12. Rahul Gandhi’s name at the fore to become the next Congress President. Rahul said – will consider.
