    CM Yogi launched "Communicable Disease Control-Dastak Campaign"

    Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said at the launch of ‘Special Communicable Disease Control and Dastak Abhiyan’ in Siddharthnagar district today that under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, inter-departmental coordination, Swachh Bharat Mission, supply of pure drinking water in the state. Along with ASHA workers, Anganwadi, Health workers, World Health Organisation, UNICEF and Path, we have succeeded in completely eliminating the communicable disease by running a campaign.

    The Chief Minister said that the aspirational district of Siddharthanagar has been selected to launch the state-wide special communicable disease control and Dastak campaign, because there is a need to pay special attention to areas like health, education, employment, agriculture, environment etc. He said that the efforts made in the last five years for the development of the state have yielded good results.

    These efforts need to be carried forward at a more rapid pace. Under the leadership and guidance of the Prime Minister, a resolution has been taken to completely eradicate Filariasis and TB in the state. The Chief Minister said that the State Government conducts this type of health awareness campaign 03 times a year.

    In which Health Department is the nodal department and Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, Urban Development Department, Women and Child Development Department, Secondary and Basic Education Department, Social Welfare Department, Divyangjan Department perform the role of associate.

    In this way, Communicable Disease Control and Dastak campaign is being successfully operated by inter-departmental coordination. The Chief Minister said that encephalitis had become a curse for eastern Uttar Pradesh. In eastern Uttar Pradesh from 1977 to 2017, thousands of children died every year due to encephalitis.

    He said that the State Government has achieved unprecedented success in the last five years in the control of encephalitis through inter-departmental coordination, special communicable disease control and dastak campaigns and various public awareness campaigns. The Chief Minister said that Communicable Disease Control and Dastak Abhiyan is being implemented by connecting it with the cleanliness campaign. He said that every child and every citizen of the state should be healthy.

    Because when a person is healthy, it makes the whole family healthy, if the family is healthy then the society is healthy, if the society is healthy then the state is healthy and if a state like Uttar Pradesh sets a certain standard of health for itself, then this country Takes the health indicator to new heights. In this way the collective contribution of everyone is necessary in the development of the country. He said that along with the awareness campaign, the Japanese Encephalitis vaccine would also start in the state.
    The Chief Minister said that in the field of health infrastructure, Uttar Pradesh has the record of setting up 33 new medical colleges in the last five years under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana’.

    He said that the construction work of the Medical College being built in the memory of Late Madhav Prasad Tripathi in Siddharthnagar, the holy land of Mahatma Buddha, has been completed. The admissions for the first semester students have started here. The work of teaching-learning has started in 17 new medical colleges of the state. In the coming 01 year, 17 new medical colleges will also start teaching-learning work, which will further improve the condition of medical education in the state. Also, the general public will get access to the best health specialists.

    The Chief Minister said that black salt rice of Siddharthnagar district has been selected under the ‘One District One Product Scheme’. Earlier the aroma of black salt rice was limited only to the district Siddharthnagar. Today, due to the successful implementation of One District One Product Scheme, the fragrance of this rice is spreading not only in the country but in the whole world. Continuity has to be maintained in the process of continuous research and development of black salt rice.

    The Chief Minister expressed confidence that all the people should work in a coordinated manner by joining the Communicable Disease Control and Dastak campaign which started from today. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, toilets are being built in every needy house. Till now toilets have been constructed in the houses of 02 crore 61 lakh people in the state. Housing has been provided to 43.5 lakh poor in rural and urban areas. Double ration is being given to all the needy by the government of double engine. Free ration has been provided to 15 crore people of the state during the corona pandemic.

    The Chief Minister said that the purpose of this campaign being run in the state is to keep the citizens of the state healthy. Health facilities are increasing rapidly in the state. All eligible beneficiaries must get their Ayushman card made, so that they can get health benefits. The benefits of all the schemes are being received by every needy without any discrimination. He said that ‘Har Ghar Nal Yojana’ is being implemented for pure drinking water in the state, which will reduce water-borne diseases.

    Pure drinking water is the basis of good health. Everyone should keep their house and the surrounding area clean, because many diseases spread due to dirt. We should keep our surroundings clean. We have to make cleanliness a part of our life. Sanitation related activities like sanitization, spraying of malathion and anti-larva and fogging in urban and rural areas will have to be carried forward rapidly.

    The Chief Minister said that in the last two years, the whole world has faced an epidemic like Corona. The model of Corona management implemented in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister has been appreciated all over the world. The state government, with the help of all its public representatives, health workers and monitoring committees, distributed free medicine kits door-to-door to persons with symptoms of corona, as a result of which the corona management model of Uttar Pradesh was considered as the best model in the world.

    The state government provided free testing, free treatment and free vaccine facilities to the people during Corona. The Chief Minister said that procurement of wheat under MSP has started from April 01, 2022 in the state. Wheat purchase centers have become operational in all the districts. When the wheat crop is ready, farmers will get ready purchase centers to sell their crops. No grain donor should have any problem regarding the sale of crops.

    School education was affected due to Corona for the last two years. It is the endeavor of the State Government that no child should be deprived of going to school. For this, ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ will be conducted by the state government from April 04, 2022 in the entire state. He called upon social organizations, voluntary organizations, education department and public representatives to take this campaign forward successfully.

    Along with this, the Chief Minister extended best wishes to all the public representatives, officials and the entire state on the occasion of Indian Vikram Samvat and Basantik Navratri. Earlier, the Chief Minister flagged off the promotional vehicles of Communicable Disease Control and Dastak Abhiyan.

    He visited the stalls/exhibitions put up by various departments. Along with this, the Chief Minister performed Annaprashan for the children and took baby shower of some women and distributed acceptance certificates to the beneficiaries of various schemes. On this occasion public representatives, senior officials of the administration and other dignitaries were present.
