CM Siddaramaiah:Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has announced to fulfill his election promises soon. He said that all the promises made by the Congress at the time of elections and before that will be implemented in this financial year. In the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah discussed all the 5 promises. He said that our president DK Shivakumar and I have put our signatures on the guarantee card and promised that we will fulfill all our promises and ensure that they reach the people. Our government has decided that all the five guarantees will be implemented in the current financial year.

Free electricity, grains will be available from next month
The Chief Minister said that our promise of providing 200 units of free electricity will be implemented from July 1. Those consumers who have not paid their bills till July will have to pay. The Chief Minister said that under the Anna Bhagya Yojana, 10 kilos of food grains would be given free of cost to all BPL families and Antyodaya card holders. Also, monthly assistance of Rs 2000 for the female head of the family under Griha Lakshmi Yojana will start from August. He said that the cabinet has decided to implement five guarantees without discrimination of any religion or caste.

free bus service for women
Siddaramaiah has announced free travel for women in all public transport buses, including luxury buses, from June 1 in Karnataka. Before the assembly elections, the Congress had made these five promises to the public.
* 200 units of free electricity to every household.
* Monthly assistance of two thousand rupees to the female head of every family.
* 10 kg free rice every month to members of families living below the poverty line.
* 3000 rupees per month for unemployed graduates and 1500 rupees per month for diploma holders in the age group of 18 to 25 years.
* Free travel for women in public buses.
