At the same time, SP leaders are also preparing to conduct an election rally of party president Akhilesh Yadav. Along with this, a road show of SP MP Dimple Yadav is also proposed.

Voting is to be held in Kanpur on May 11 under the second phase of municipal elections and tremendous election campaign is going on these days. Many big leaders have campaigned on behalf of the ruling party BJP, but no big leader has come to Kanpur except Shivpal Yadav from the main opposition party SP. Now only two days are left for the election campaign, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also coming to campaign in Kanpur on the last day i.e. May 9.

Chief Minister’s public meeting will be held at the commercial ground located in Kidwai Nagar and will appeal to vote in favor of the party’s mayoral candidate Pramila Pandey and the corporator candidates. However, holding a public meeting in Kanpur on the last day of the election campaign is a special strategy of the Chief Minister. This is not happening for the first time, since the 2017 assembly elections, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s public meeting is held on the last day itself. The reason behind this is that on the last day, he has the ability to change the atmosphere of the election and the result comes in favor of the party.

SP president may have a public meeting

The election campaign of SP mayoral candidate Vandana Vajpayee is also going on vigorously and the party is preparing to hold a public meeting of former Chief Minister and SP President Akhilesh Yadav. However, his public meeting is not confirmed yet. Akhilesh Yadav’s Karnataka tour is being told behind this. Party’s city president Fazal Mahmood says that the Kanpur unit has demanded that on the last day there should be a public meeting of the party president and a road show by MP Dimple Yadav.

Priyanka Gandhi also demanded

So far no big leader has come for the election campaign in favor of Congress mayoral candidate Ashni Awasthi. In view of this, the candidate’s husband Vikas Awasthi is trying to hold a public meeting of party general secretary Priyanka Vadra Gandhi on the last day. Correspondence has also been done for this. Vikas told that a demand has been made that Priyanka Gandhi, Imran Pratapgarhi and Pramod Tiwari should come to Kanpur for campaigning. At the same time, ADM City Atul Kumar told that the election campaign is in the final stage. Representatives of all the parties are continuously seeking permission for the meeting and road show. The permission is being granted as per the instructions of the State Election Commission.
