This special day is going to start with Nahay Khay on Chaturthi Tithi, after which Kharna will be held on 18th November. After this, Arghya will be offered to the setting sun on 19th November and the next day on 20th November, the fast will be completed with the worship of the rising sun.

In this festival, the fasting plate and basket also have a lot of importance, in which fruits, vegetables, coconut laddus, thekua, rice laddus and many dishes are decorated in soup and wishes for a happy future coming from Chhathi Maiya.
