In such a situation, Film Heritage Foundation and PVR Inox are organizing a special film festival to screen 9 of their films in theaters across the country.
The cast of ‘Khamosh’ will come together again
The film festival will open with Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s cult classic Khamosh (1986), rarely seen since its initial release nearly 40 years ago. Let us tell you, Khamosh is not available on any streaming platform. At the same time, this screening is also an opportunity for the reunion of the cast of the film, along with which some other big names of the industry will also be present.
Throwing light on the details related to the screening, a source close to the filmmaker said, “Film Heritage Foundation believes that Khamosh is a unique film where a filmmaker’s work is on full display and yet this film is hardly seen by the younger generation. have seen. So, it is the perfect film to kick off the festivities and let the audience relive their classic experience.”
To make this screening even more special, the cast and crew of Khamosh will also be a part of this event which includes Naseeruddin Shah, Shabana Azmi, Soni Razdan and many others. Along with this, some close associates of Vidhu Vinod Chopra like Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Rajkumar Hirani will also be seen gracing it. Vikrant Massey, who is in the cast of the filmmaker’s upcoming release, 12th Fail, will mark his presence at this event.

Apart from Khamosh, other films directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra like Parinda, 1942: A Love Story, Mission Kashmir and Eklavya along with his super popular films like Munna Bhai series, Parineeta and 3 Idiots will also be shown in this festival. The film festival will run from October 13 to 19 in PVR-INOX theaters across 28 cities including Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Lucknow, Ahmedabad and many other cities.
Currently, Vidhu Vinod Chopra is preparing for the release of his next film 12th Fail, which is based on a true story and gives a glimpse into the world of UPSC students. Vikrant Massey is in the lead role in the film. The film will be released in theaters on October 27 ,, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
