The conflict that has been going on for the past months is not taking its name to end. Amidst this uproar yesterday, Captain Amarinder Singh has submitted his resignation to Sonia Gandhi. Stepping down, Captain Amarinder Singh on Saturday wrote a letter to party president Sonia Gandhi expressing anguish over the “political developments of the last nearly five months”. In the letter, Amarinder has written about the turmoil in the party in the past years.
Wrote about the political upheaval going on for 5 months
Giving information, Amarinder Singh’s office said- Amarinder Singh has written to the Congress President on Saturday expressing anguish over the political events of the last almost 5 months, he clearly questioned what effect the decisions taken in Punjab have on the national scene. It could have happened and what were the concerns associated with it were not considered. The reason for the resignation was also clearly stated in the letter. The former CM apprised Sonia Gandhi of the reasons for resigning from the post. “Despite my personal suffering, I hope this will not harm the hard earned peace and development in the state, and the efforts I have been focusing on during the last few years will continue,” he wrote. Will ensure justice to all. He further said- I not only established the rule of law and ensured transparent rule, but also maintained ethical conduct in political matters.

Lok Sabha elections held in 2019 also mentioned
Not only this, Amarinder also mentioned the results of the Lok Sabha elections in the letter. He wrote – In Punjab, the Congress won 8 out of 13 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. There are many geo-political and other internal security concerns, which I tried to handle. That too without any agreement. It is worth noting that Captain Amarinder’s media advisor Raveen Thukral gave information about this letter through a tweet.
