Lucknow : This time the allies will also be given a place in the cabinet expansion to be held after Raksha Bandhan in UP. In UP, Ashish Patel from Apna Dal and Dr. Sanjay Nishad from Nishad Party can be included in the cabinet. BJP is going to hit two targets with one arrow in UP by giving place to backward class leaders along with allies in the cabinet. Apart from this, apart from a Brahmin, Dalit, Gurjar and Jat MLA can be made minister from BJP to remove resentment.
The meeting went on till late on Thursday at the residence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. In this, 5-6 names have been decided in the brainstorming with the party’s national president JP Nadda, CM Yogi Adityanath, state president Swatantra Dev Singh and organization general secretary Sunil Bansal. The state BJP has suggested the date of 24 or 27 August to the central leadership. After getting the green signal from there, the cabinet expansion can be done any day after Raksha Bandhan.
OBC faces encouraged in cabinet expansion
Along with the allies, the Yogi government is also preparing to help the backward classes with the cabinet reshuffle. The faces of Kurmi, Nishad and Rajbhar society are likely to be promoted by giving ministerial posts. Recently, a record 27 OBC leaders were included in the cabinet expansion of the central government. Then it was considered a bet of the Center in view of the UP elections. The backward population in UP is said to be about half of the total population.
Vidyasagar, Jitin will get a chance
Apart from allies, BJP has agreed to give place to MLC Vidyasagar Sonkar, Jitin Prasada, who joined BJP from Congress. Apart from this, one Gujjar and one Jat MLA from western UP can be given a place in the cabinet.
Among them, Modinagar MLA Dr. Manju Shivach, who comes from Jat community, and Somendra Tomar, MLA of Gujjar caste from Meerut South, besides Dadri’s MLA Tej Pal Nagar’s name is also in discussion.
Dr. Manju is a doctor by profession and runs her own nursing home. Somendra Chaudhary Charan Singh has been the President of Meerut University Students Union and has been associated with Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad for a long time. Tej Pal has been a teacher and has joined politics after retiring from the post of Principal of Inter College.
