Karnataka CM: After the massive victory in Karnataka, churning continues in the Congress over the name of the next CM of the state. Between the two prominent faces of the state, Karnataka state president DK Shivakumar and former CM Siddaramaiah, the central leadership is in a dilemma as to whom to make the final choice as the crown prince of Karnataka. For this advice of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi will be taken. Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha MP and Congress election in-charge Randeep Surjewala made it clear that the name of the CM will be announced by the evening after State President DK Shivkumar arrives in Delhi on Tuesday. While former CM Siddaramaiah is present in Delhi since last evening.
Shivkumar said – will not blackmail
Earlier today, while talking to the media before leaving for Delhi, Shivkumar said that ‘we are united and our figure is 135’. I don’t want to divide anyone here. whether they like me or not. I am a responsible man. I will not backstab, nor will I blackmail. We have made this party (Congress), we have made this house. I am a part of it… A mother will give everything to her child. He further said that “Congress General Secretary has asked me to come alone, I am going to Delhi alone. I am in good health.”

Shivkumar was to come tomorrow only
In fact, since the middle of the election, the names of Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar were at the forefront of the contenders for the post of CM. On Monday itself, the central leadership had asked him to come to Delhi to discuss this. After which Siddaramaiah had come to Delhi only yesterday but Shivkumar had canceled his visit to Delhi yesterday citing health reasons. After this, apprehensions started being expressed in the political circles that all is not well in the Karnataka Congress. In the midst of claiming the post of CM, Shivakumar had given a statement that his strength was 135 as the party under his leadership had won 135 seats in the Congress.
