Andhra Pradesh BJP President Somu Veeraraju has appealed to the people of the state to vote for the Bharatiya Janata Party, but has also made a strange promise. In Vijayawada on Tuesday, he said, “Give one crore votes to the BJP. We will provide liquor only for Rs 50-70. If we have more revenue left, we will provide liquor for just Rs 50.”
On the one hand, the government is prohibiting liquor in many states and is also imposing a fine on selling, but itself is providing liquor to the people in the name of vote. The Haryana government has recently raised the drinking and buying age from 25 years to 21 years. Now in such a situation, promoting youth towards alcohol does not come under the law of the government.
According to a report in Times of India, he also alleged that the state government was selling poor quality liquor to the people at exorbitant prices. He said that one crore people in the state are consuming liquor at exorbitant prices and asked BJP to vote for cheap liquor in the 2024 assembly elections in the state.

He said that at present the cost of a quarter bottle of good liquor is more than Rs 200. If his government comes to power, then a bottle of liquor will cost from Rs 50 to Rs 70. He took a dig at the state government for selling costly liquor of poor quality. He alleged that all counterfeit brands are sold at exorbitant prices in the state, while popular and popular brands are not available.
