Koo Cricket Anthem by Benny Dayal goes Viral as Fans say ‘Koo Pe Bolega’

Both parties are aiming to strengthen their digital presence in the run-up to the Uttar Pradesh (UP) elections, scheduled to be held next year.

They will post on Koo in Hindi and English

National October 2021: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and Peace Party have set up their official accounts on the Koo App, the Indian microblogging and social networking platform available in Indian languages. Using the handle@aimimupoffical and @peacepartyup, these parties will leverage Koo’s multilingual offerings to share information, updates and initiatives undertaken by them with the people of Uttar Pradesh (UP) in both Hindi and English.

In its first Koo on the platform, AIMIM posted a picture of Asaduddin Owaisi – President of AIMIM and Member of Parliament, Hyderabad – addressing a public forum in Meerut. Using the hashtags #OwaisiInUttarpradesh, #Mission2022UttarPradesh, #UPElections2022, the party highlighted its mission and vision for the UP elections.

The AIMIM had fielded 20 candidates during the Bihar assembly elections – from Amour, Kochadhaman, Jokihat, Baisi and Bahadurganj – going on to win five seats and making an impact on the politics of the region. The party entered into alliances with the Grand Democratic Secular Front, Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Samta Party and Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party and following a similar approach, it has formed alliances with regional parties like Bhagidari Sankalp Morcha led by Suheldev, BharatiyaSamaj Party’s Om Prakash Rajbhar, a former minister and BJP ally.

In a recent post on Koo, the Peace Party, founded in 2008 by surgeon and philanthropist Mohammed Ayub, quoted from ‘Sare Jahan se Accha’ also known as ‘Tarānah-e-Hind,’ written by Allama Iqbal a famous poet, leader and philosopher to promote the spirit of nationalism and religious equality among the people of Uttar Pradesh and said “अल्लामा इक़बाल का पूरा नाम मुहम्मद इक़बाल मसऊदी था जिनका जन्म 9 नवम्बर 1877 अविभाजित भारत के सियालकोट पंजाब में हुआ था। इकबाल प्रसिद्ध कवि, नेता और दार्शनिक थे।

    इक़बाल ने हिन्दुस्तान की आज़ादी से पहले “तराना-ए-हिन्द” लिखा था, जिसके बोल- “सारे जहाँ से अच्छा, हिन्दोस्तां हमारा” जरिये सभी धर्मों के लोगों को ‘हिंदी है हम वतन है’ कहकर देशभक्ति और राष्ट्रवाद की प्रेरणा देते थे।#DrAyyub #PeaceParty (Allama Iqbal, whose full name was Muhammad Iqbal Masoodi, who was born on 9 November 1877 in Sialkot Punjab, undivided India. He was a famous poet, leader and philosopher.)

Welcoming AIMIM and Peace Party to the Koo App, a Koo spokesperson said, “Koo extends a warm welcome to AIMIM and the Peace Party and believes that this will enable people to listen to the AIMIM’s developments and plans for UP. In a short time, Koo has crossed 15 million downloads and we look forward to more people joining the platform.”

Currently available in eight languages, Koo gives people the opportunity to interact with multiple users in their mother tongue. In about 18 months, Koo has seen over 15 million downloads. Political leaders, celebrities, and creators of content are increasingly signing up on Koo to express their thoughts and share updates with the public.

Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath is also active on the Koo App and in the last few weeks, several Senior Leaders of opposition parties including Satish Chandra Mishra from BSP Party, Sanjay Singh, national spokesperson for the Aam Aadmi Party and the state-in-charge for the Uttar Pradesh Azad Samaj Party Chandrashekhar Azad and SuheldevBharatiyaSamaj Party’s Omprakash Rajbhar, Arvind Rajbhar and Arun Rajbhar have continuously created their accounts on the platform and have been connecting and sharing their thoughts with the people in their mother tongues. This has made Koo a predominant platform for regional politics in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Since its launch in March 2020, Koo has seen Chief Ministers of 16 Indian states join the platform. Besides various Cabinet Ministers, leaders and famous personalities from fields like entertainment and sports are now active on Koo. As India’s first microblogging platform, Koo democratises the voice of India by breaking through the dominance of English with novel features like Multi-Lingual Koo (MLK) that auto-translate content into various languages. This not only allows users to communicate better, but helps in enhancing the reach across the community and masses.
