5 districts of Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand will get relief from parking problem, the committee approved the proposals for these places

Uttarakhand: In view of the increasing number of tourists in Uttarakhand, the problem of parking has started deepening. Whereas in the summer season and in view of Chardham Yatra, there is an influx of tourists and devotees in the state. Tourism is a major contributor to the state’s economy, considering this the problem of parking in the hill districts of Tehri, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi and Pithoragarh will get rid of. In this connection, in a meeting of the departmental committee chaired by Additional Chief Secretary of the state, Anand Bardhan, 12 parking proposals were approved.

Know where the proposed parking facility will be

According to the announcements of CM Dhami, the budget for parking has been released in 12 proposals of 5 districts of Uttarakhand. In which parking is to be constructed at the following places.

UttarkashiHere a parking is being made in the municipality Badkot. In which the committee found a difference in the approved estimate of the construction standards. For which instructions were given to take action along with seeking clarification from the executive body.
Rudraprayag– In this district, instructions were given to release Rs 4 crore 14 lakh 33 thousand for the construction of parking in Chopta market.
Tehri– Parking at Shivpuri under Narendra Nagar on Badrinath Road in Tehri city, surface parking at Teen Dhara and Danada Patti in Tehri, Devprayag Tehri.
PithoragarhThere will be multilevel parking in Baman Nala Krishnapuri ward, the fourth floor of which will be developed as a bus stand. Similarly, the construction work of multilevel parking in Syntoli of municipality Didihat and the second phase of multilevel parking in Kunjanpur of Gangolihat will be done.

ChamoliAccording to the announcement of CM Dhami, the proposal will be passed again keeping in view the carrying capacity of parking in Gairsain-Bharadisain.

All Estimates Accepted Through Uda

In this meeting of the Departmental Expenditure Committee, Joint Secretary Housing Department Rajendra Singh Paliyal, Deputy Secretary Arpan Kumar Raju, Deputy Finance Secretary Deepti Mishra, UDA Joint Chief Administrator PC Dumka, State Planning Commission Advisor Vinod Kumar besides Pithoragarh, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and DM of Tehri and chairpersons of development authorities participated. In this meeting, it was decided that the estimate of the new parking will be given to the government under the Housing and Urban Development Authority (Uda).
