Dwarka Expressway Construction Update: 95 percent work on the Gurgaon portion of the Dwarka Expressway has been completed. In such a situation, it is believed that vehicles will be able to run on it till April. The foundation stone of this project was laid in March 2019.

The construction work of this expressway is being done in four different packages. Out of which 2 packages are in Gurgaon and 2 packages are in Delhi. It is connecting to Kherki Daula toll in Gurgaon and Mahipalpur in Delhi. The foundation stone of this project was laid in March 2019.

95% work completed
According to NHAI officials, more than 95 per cent work has been completed in the area falling within the limits of Gurgaon district. Now a target has been set to complete the remaining work in the month of March. At present, it is not decided on which date it will be open for the people in the month of April. On this, there will be hi-tech arrangements like state-of-the-art intelligent transportation system, toll management system, CCTV cameras for traffic management.

The Delhi-Gurgaon section on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway sees more than 3 lakh vehicles ply daily, due to which there is heavy traffic on this route. People are forced to get stuck in the jam. After the construction of Dwarka Expressway, there will be relief from traffic jam on Delhi-Jaipur Highway. Connectivity will increase between Dwarka and parts of South Delhi. People will be able to travel to Delhi in 30 to 40 minutes.
