The problems of Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of RJD supremo Lalu Yadav, may increase. A case has been registered against him at Rosda police station in Samastipur. Tej Pratap Yadav, MLA from Hasanpur, is accused of not giving correct details of the property during the filing of nomination papers for the elections. In this case, on the instructions of the Election Commission, the elected officer has lodged an FIR. In which his legislature may also be in danger.
Accused of hiding property details by giving wrong affidavit in election
According to the information, Tej Pratap Yadav, former health minister of Bihar, is accused of hiding the details of assets by filing a false affidavit in the assembly elections 2020. On the application of Brajesh Kumar, the elected office-bearer and SDO of Hasanpur Vidhan Sabha, a case number 419/20 was registered at Rosda police station under section 125A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.

In the application given regarding the FIR, it was said that in the 2020 Bihar elections, Tej Pratap Yadav had filed nomination papers as an RJD candidate from Hasanpur seat on 13 October 2020. Bihar JDU had complained to the Chief Electoral Officer about hiding information regarding immovable property in the affidavit filed by Tej Pratap during the nomination.

After the complaint of JDU, the Election Commission took the step
In this case, the Chief Electoral Officer of Bihar had sent a copy of the complaint to the Election Commission of India on 4 November 2020. On which the commission wrote to the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) for investigation. The CBDT, after investigating the matter, told through its three letters that between the affidavits filed by Tej Pratap for Bihar elections 2015 and 2020, there was an increase of Rs 82,40867 in movable and immovable assets. At the same time, according to the income tax details from the financial year 2015-16 to 2016-20, the total income is Rs 22,76220.

FIR for not responding to the notice of the Election Commission
In such a situation, the information about the assets given in the affidavit filed by Tej Pratap Yadav in the election does not match. Based on the investigation of CBDT, a show cause notice was issued by the Election Commission to the RJD leader. He was asked to submit his reply within three weeks of the notice. But the reply was not given within the stipulated time. In such a situation, this FIR has been registered.
