Six people died due to corona virus infection in Delhi on Wednesday, while 1,757 new cases of infection were reported. The Delhi government has announced an increase in the rates of minimum wages for the laborers for the second time in 6 months. Delhi Government’s Labor Minister Raj Kumar Anand on Thursday issued an order to increase the monthly wages of unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled workers of Delhi. The new rates will be considered applicable from April 1 only. The Labor Minister has directed all workers and employees to ensure payment at the enhanced rate.
Delhiites will have problems with buses

Due to the expiry of the contract, all these 330 buses have now gone off-route together. All these were orange colored non AC CNG buses running under the cluster scheme. Although an agreement has been signed with a new company to replace them, it will take at least 3 to 6 months for that company to bring new buses. Due to this, the passengers may have to face the shortage of buses for the next few months.
People of Jailorwala Bagh will get the keys of flats till 31st July

Under the ‘Jahan Jhuggi Wahi Makan’ scheme, the DDA organized the draw of lots for the people of Jailorwala Bagh. It is expected that by July 31, people will get the possession of the flats. The draw of lots was conducted for 1093 houses residing in JJ Colonies of Jailorwala Bagh, parts of Ashok Vihar. Here 1675 EWS flats are ready. The size of each flat is around 400 square feet. This project of DDA has been completed in Rs 421.81 crore. The beneficiary family will have to pay Rs 1,71,000 in lieu of this flat. There is a beneficiary share of 1,41,000 and a maintenance charge of Rs 30,000 for five years. DDA is giving a subsidy of about Rs 24 lakh on each of the flats.
