    What is Chashma-e-Noor Happy Valley? Regarding which the BJP MLA questioned the Rajasthan minister

    Ajmer: Assembly session is going on in Rajasthan. There was also discussion about a memorial built in Ajmer here. In fact, a question was asked in the session on behalf of Anita Bhadel, MLA from South Assembly seat of Ajmer, regarding the development of a memorial known as Chashma-e-Noor (Happy Valley). In response to this question, the Tourism Minister gave this information. During this, the minister said that Chashma-e-Noor comes under the Forest Department. He assured that efforts will be made to find a solution to the development here by writing a letter again to the Forest Department on behalf of the State Government for the development works there.
    On this question asked during the Question Hour, the Minister also informed MLA Bhadel about the amount spent in the years 2017 and 2018.

    What is Chashma-e-Noor

    Chashma-e-Noor was built by the Mughal Emperor Jahangir, which is built in the valley of Taragarh hill behind the world famous Ajmer Dargah. He named this palace after his name i.e. Nooruddin Jahangir. Located at the foothills of Taragarh, it is a natural place which can be reached on foot.

    Jahangir came here seventeen times

    It is said that Emperor Jahangir came here about seventeen times. Apart from the gardens, there was also a pool here, in which Nur Jahan used to bathe with rose petals. It is said that Noor Jahan invented the rose perfume here. It is said that the fragrance of rose had drawn Noor Jahan to Ajmer. The British used to call this place Happy Valley.
