What is Chashma-e-Noor
Chashma-e-Noor was built by the Mughal Emperor Jahangir, which is built in the valley of Taragarh hill behind the world famous Ajmer Dargah. He named this palace after his name i.e. Nooruddin Jahangir. Located at the foothills of Taragarh, it is a natural place which can be reached on foot.
Jahangir came here seventeen times
It is said that Emperor Jahangir came here about seventeen times. Apart from the gardens, there was also a pool here, in which Nur Jahan used to bathe with rose petals. It is said that Noor Jahan invented the rose perfume here. It is said that the fragrance of rose had drawn Noor Jahan to Ajmer. The British used to call this place Happy Valley.
