BJP IT Cell chief Amit Malviya has fiercely targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Amit Malviya took a dig at Mamta Banerjee by tweeting a video. He questioned Mamta’s advertising policy given by the state government to media institutions.
Amit Malviya tweeted and wrote that ‘You need to publish positive news about the government to get advertisements. I don’t want negative news. Submit the copy of your newspaper in the office of DM or SP. They will see whether you are doing positive or negative news. In the end, Malviya took a jibe at Mamta and wrote that there is an advertisement only for those who cover positive news.
What’s in the video?
It can be seen in the video that a woman journalist shared with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee the problem of financial crunch of her newspaper and told that the newspaper does not get advertisements from the government. On this, CM Mamta Banerjee replied in Bangla that if advertisement is wanted then positive news about the government will have to be published in the newspaper. Not only this, she also asks the journalist to submit a copy of the newspaper daily to the DM office.
Advertisements should be given only to those who show good news: Mamata Banerjee
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said in a program that rural journalists should show positive news of the government. If they do this, then I will ask the DM (District Magistrate) of that district to give them an advertisement. He further said, ‘The journalists showing positive news about the government should send their news to the DM office or other offices so that they can also know that good news about the government is being shown in the newspaper. Advertisement should be given to those who do this.
