Winter has knocked in Rajasthan. Now its attitude has also started intensifying. The mercury in Mount Abu, the only hill station of Rajasthan, recorded 10 degree Celsius last night.

Fatehpur town of Sikar district remained the coldest place in the state. The minimum temperature here reached 9 degree Celsius. After this change of weather, people living here are now wearing warm clothes. There has also been a change in routine. Today’s minimum temperature was recorded at 9.8 degrees Celsius in Himachal Pradesh’s Dharamsala, 10 in Kullu, 11.4 in Shimla airport, 16.3 in Jammu, 12.8 in Nainital and 12.8 degrees Celsius in Sikkim’s capital Gangtok.

According to meteorologists, the temperature in Rajasthan is falling due to snowfall in North India. The temperature is expected to continue to drop further. The temperature has dropped due to the influence of the northern winds. In Sikar district, the mercury dropped by 3.5 degrees Celsius, after which the minimum temperature reached 11 degrees in the night.

The temperature in Churu fell by one degree Celsius to 12.7. After this change in the weather, the atmosphere has become cold in the morning and evening and people have started getting chills at night. In rural areas, people started wearing jerseys and shawls to avoid winter. In cities also people stopped running fan-coolers.

According to the Jaipur Meteorological Department, a Western Disturbance is active in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh in northern India. Due to this, there is a possibility of snowfall in the coming days. After this snowfall, when the northern winds will come towards the plains, then the effect of winter will increase in Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh. In Shekhawati area Sikar, Churu, Jhunjhunu, NCR region Bharatpur, Alwar, the temperature may drop by 2-3 degrees. However, the weather will remain clear in Rajasthan for the next 3-4 days and the sun will also come out.
