Along with this, there is also a possibility of hailstorm. According to IMD, the highest temperature was recorded at Jiradei in Saran district on Saturday. The mercury was recorded here at 39 degree Celsius. A slight drop in the maximum temperature was also recorded in many parts of the state, bringing some respite from the scorching heat of the past few days.

During the last 24 hours, many parts of the state received light rain with hailstorm. Light rain occurred in Arwal, Bhojpur, Buxar, Patna, Nawada, Nalanda, Sitamarhi, West Champaran and East Champaran. According to the department, there may be light rain with strong winds at some places in the state on Sunday. The department said that Vaishali recorded a maximum temperature of 38.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Bhojpur and Bhagalpur at 38 degrees Celsius.
