In the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case, the UP Police has taken action and arrested people. The names of both the accused are being told as Lavkush and Ashish Pandey. First the police had detained two people after which the arrest was made. Police have recovered empty shells of bullets at the violence site. Earlier, Lucknow IG Laxmi Singh, while talking to the media, told that two people are being questioned. He has confirmed the role of three others who have died. Technically they have also been accounted for. These people are giving a lot of information. We have summoned the main accused (Ashish Mishra) for questioning. We will record his statement. Based on that further evidence is being gathered.

On Lakhimpur Kheri violence investigation, Lucknow Range IG Laxmi Singh said that the incidents of firing or any weapon injuries have not been confirmed. So we have to go ahead with the other evidence that has been given to us. On the other hand, Uttar Pradesh Police said on Thursday that Union Minister Ajay Mishra’s son Ashish has been called for questioning in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. Lucknow IG Laxmi Singh while talking to the media said, ‘We have called him (Ashish Mishra) for questioning. We will record his statement, on the basis of which we will collect evidence.” He said two other people were also being questioned.

Mayawati also took a jibe at Yogi government
BSP supremo Mayawati on Thursday said justice is expected in the Lakhimpur violence case as the Supreme Court has intervened in the matter and sought a status report from the Uttar Pradesh government. She said that a BSP delegation led by party general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP SC Mishra will meet the families of farmers killed in the October 3 violence in Lakhimpur Kheri. Mayawati said in a statement that the Lakhimpur incident initiated by the Supreme Court The hearings held gave hope of relief and fair justice to the people, as the attitude of the BJP government in this matter appeared to be mostly biased.
