Heavy snowfall and landslides claimed many lives in Himachal Pradesh’s Kinnaur on 23 October. A senior official said on Wednesday that 17 trekkers had gone missing in Himachal Pradesh’s Kinnaur district. According to the information, the trekkers had left for Chitkul in Himachal Pradesh’s Kinnaur adjoining Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand on October 14, but they went missing in Lamkhaga Pass during bad weather from October 17 to 19. During this, there was news of the death of three people. In which two people are residents of Dombivli.
Been doing trekking for 40 years
Rajendra Pathak and Ashok Bhalerao, residents of Dombivli, died in the landslide. Both were friends and used to go trekking together for the last 40 years. Now look at the luck… Death also came to both the friends at the same time. According to the information, both were close childhood friends. Both of them loved trekking and always used to do trekking together but this trek became the last trek of their life. The family relations of both the friends were also very good. Rajendra Pathak was fond of trekking as well as music. Rajendra and Ashok were fond of trekking since childhood and they were trekking on Everest, Sahyadri and Himalayas for the last 40 years. At least once a year, both of them used to go to training together.

Search continues for dead body
The age of both the friends was 66 years but even the bond of age could not reduce the trekking love of both of them. Rajendra and Ashok started training with a group of 17 others. The 10-day trek was scheduled to end on October 26, but on October 23, heavy snowfall in the Kinnaur region ended their lives. However, the work of finding their dead bodies is still going on. The family members are worried about not getting the dead body and are still praying that both of them get well.
