What is Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway Project?
The Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway is actually the brainchild of Nitin Gadkari. Ever since Gadkari took over the Ministry of Transport and Highways, he has been engaged in laying a network of roads in the country. The Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway project was started in 2018. Its foundation stone was laid on March 9, 2019. By October 2022, the work of 724 km had been completed. The cost of the Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway project will be around Rs 1,10,000 crore.

The Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway will pass through five states of the country – Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and one union territory – Delhi. The time taken to reach the cities along the expressway will be significantly reduced.

One way toll of Rs 115 will have to be paid at Ghamdoj toll of Sohna Road. It costs Rs 175 for a return journey here on the same day. At a distance of four kilometers from here, you will be able to take entry on Mumbai Expressway and then after traveling about 200 kilometers from here, you will be able to go to Agra Delhi Jaipur Highway by paying toll tax of Rs 395 at Bhandaraj Toll Plaza in Dausa, Rajasthan. To travel till Jaipur on this highway, a toll of Rs 75 will have to be paid.
How much revenue will come from Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway?
