Deployment of vans for the security of Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah
Nirmal Rajput, Mathura: Thousands of policemen are deployed 24 hours for the security of Lord Shri Krishna’s birth place and Shahi Idgah Mosque in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. Being very sensitive, there is a possibility of terrorist attacks on this temple and mosque. To further strengthen the security of the temple and the mosque, a hi-tech van has been presented to the administration. This van costing Rs 27 lakh is ready to deal with terrorist attacks. In order to deal with any kind of terrorist attack on Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi, the state government wants to maintain its security on a tightrope. For this, vehicles equipped with state-of-the-art facilities have been made available to the Bomb Disposal Squad and Dog Squad. Built at a cost of Rs 27 lakh, in this vehicle, along with the seating of the jawans, all the equipment and accessories required by both the squads have been arranged on the spot. The security system of Shri Krishna’s birthplace and Idgah is well maintained. Along with the civil police, PAC and CRPF personnel are ready here. The police force has been deployed by making check posts around the birthplace complex. The thing that was troubling the police-administration the most was how to deal with the bomb blast. The police did not have any vehicle equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to detect and defuse the bomb. Also, there was a lack of modern equipment on the dog squad.

These are the facilities in the van

33 seater vehicle, 24 jawans will be able to sit, two dog canals (for dog squad), air conditioned, automatic door, panic button, hooter etc. are fitted. Police officials say that this van equipped with modern facilities has been found on the recommendation of the High Power Committee. Police administration has been provided vehicles equipped with state-of-the-art facilities at a cost of Rs 27 lakh for bomb disposal squad and dog squad for the security arrangements of Shri Krishna Janmasthan. This will make it easier to deal with miscreants.
