Financially weak or handicapped students can complete their studies without any problem, so the Government of India gives many types of scholarships. Today we are telling you about 5 such scholarships.
1. National Means Cum Merit Scholarship (National Means cum Merit Scholarship)
- Economically weak students can apply for this scholarship after 8th class.
- Under this scholarship, one lakh students are given 12 thousand rupees per year.
- Applications for this scholarship program are taken between the months of August to October.
- Students can apply by visiting the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
eligibility
- For this scholarship, it is mandatory to have 55% marks in class VIII.
- The family income should not exceed Rs 1.5 lakh per annum.
- For this scholarship, students have to give a test.
2. AICTE Saksham Scholarship (AICTE Saksham Scholarship)
- To promote technical education, the government has started this scholarship.
- Under this scholarship is given to specially abled students doing technical degree or diploma.
- You can apply on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) between September-October.
- Under this, an annual scholarship of Rs 50,000 is given to the students.
eligibility
- Only those students can apply for this scholarship, who have up to 40 percent disability and are pursuing a degree or diploma course in an institute affiliated to AICTE.
- The annual family income for this scholarship should be less than 8 lakhs.
3. Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship (CSSS)
- CSSS Scholarship is for financially weak and meritorious students going to college or university.
- For this, students pursuing higher education in college or university after passing class 12th can apply.
- Under this, every student is given a scholarship of 10 to 20 thousand rupees annually.
- Applications are invited for this from August to October on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
eligibility
- This scholarship is given to the students who have secured 80 percent or more marks in class 12th.
- For this, it is mandatory for the student to take admission in the full time course.
- The annual family income should not exceed Rs.8 lakh.
4. AICTE Pragati Scholarship
- This government scholarship is only for girl students.
- Maximum two girls from a family can apply for this scholarship.
- Through this scholarship, 50 thousand rupees and other facilities are given to the girl students.
- Applications for this start from September to October on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
eligibility
- This scholarship is for girl students studying in first or second year of technical degree and diploma courses.
- For this, it is mandatory for the student to have admission in the respective course on the basis of 12th marks through lateral entry.
- Also, the annual family income of the girl student should not exceed Rs.8 lakh.
5. Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF)
- This scholarship has been started by the Government of India to promote research among the students.
- This scholarship is for PhD students.
- This scholarship is given to the students who comply with all other conditions of PMRF.
- Under this, 80 thousand rupees are given to the student every month.
