The whole matter pertains to village Majmani Kalan of Kotwali police station area of Umaria. Where the dead body of a person was found in eight pieces inside the house. Giving information about the incident, the family of the deceased Basant Lal Mahara told that my brother-in-law Shambhu Prasad Mahara was in his house, when Suraj Singh alias Gudda Marabi, a resident of village Dongarganwa, came with an ax in his hand and entered inside the house. Without saying anything, the accused attacked Shambhu with an axe, first cut off the head and then cut the body into several pieces.

It is being told that the accused Suraj cut Shambhu’s body into eight pieces. After that, the accused kept roaming in the village with the severed head, due to which panic spread in the village, people started running after seeing it. The incident is being reported around 3 pm on Monday. At the same time, after the information, the police reached the spot.
The killer was found resting on the roof of the deceased’s house
After the information, when the police reached the spot, the head of the deceased was found lying on the way. There, the accused Suraj was found sitting comfortably on the terrace of the deceased Shambhu’s house. On seeing the police, the accused tried to touch the electric wire. The police got the accused Suraj Singh in their custody with great understanding.
At present, the police have taken further action by establishing a mortuary and have sent the dead body to the district hospital for postmortem. However, the reasons for this brutal murder have not yet been ascertained.
