Monsoon is progressing rapidly after Kerala. It will reach Karnataka and Tamil Nadu by Saturday. On the other hand, Monsoon rains have started in parts of South Tamil Nadu. Monsoon will cover entire Tamil Nadu and North East states in the next two days.
According to IMD, the monsoon will reach Maharashtra by June 10 moving from the south. Then covering the northeastern states, it will move from West Bengal towards Bihar. By June 15, due to monsoon, rains will start in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and entire Bihar.
On the other hand, heat will increase over the eastern parts of the country for the next 3-4 days. Heat wave conditions will continue over Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, East Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In North-West India i.e. Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh, the temperature is expected to be 3-5 degrees above normal for the next 5 days.
Cyclone Biparjoy to intensify further in next 36 hours
The Meteorological Department told on Friday, Biperjoy may intensify in the next 36 hours. Its effect can be seen in the coastal areas of Mumbai, Goa, Karnataka, North Kerala. During this, there are chances of thunderstorms and heavy rains. Will move from north to northwest till June 11.
Fishermen have tied their boats to the seashore ahead of the onset of monsoon in Mumbai. Due to the rains, the sailors think it better to stay away from the sea for the next two months. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains with strong winds in the coastal areas. Drizzle rains continue over Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Goa.
