Once again due to stubble burning, the pollution level in Delhi-NCR has increased, all the claims of the government have once again been left in vain. In the recent past, there has been a 50 percent reduction in the incidence of stubble burning within five states, but it still needs to be controlled. In Punjab, 37.2 percent stubble burning has reduced this year as compared to last year, while Haryana, on the other hand, has seen more than 39.1 percent stubble burning.
There has been a 9.7 percent reduction in stubble burning within Uttar Pradesh, 71.4 percent in Madhya Pradesh and 66 percent in Rajasthan. Let us tell you that the incidents of stubble burning inside Punjab may have come down but still a lot more stubble burning is being done here as compared to other states. In this financial year, a provision of Rs 700 crore was also made to bring out other options instead of burning stubble, but still the situation did not improve much.

T Mohapatra, head of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, said that three satellites Terra, Aqua and Suomi are continuously working to get the exact and accurate data of the stubble burning incident. Let us tell you that the incident of stubble burning cannot be hidden from the eyes of the high resolution cameras present in these satellites. T Mohapatra said that the reduction in the incidents of stubble burning has not come down as much as we were expecting.
Governments have been making continuous efforts for the last several years to stop people from burning stubble, so far Rs 1726.67 crore has been spent to solve the problem of stubble burning, but the situation is the same. To make the farmers aware, the government ran many programs, launched many subsidized schemes, but the result was nothing special.
