Hathras. District Magistrate Ramesh Ranjan gave instructions to maintain law and order, quality disposal of pending cases, while reviewing the prosecution work and maintaining law and order in the district.
The District Magistrate told the prosecuting officer that no criminal should escape from being punished. Describing the criminals as a nuisance to the society, he said that without showing any mercy to the criminals, it is very important to send them to jail as punishment for their crime in the social interest and innocent people should not face any kind of problem. He directed to take effective action on cases related to crimes against women. The District Magistrate gave strict instructions to the prosecuting officers to effectively defend the cases in the courts to bring the criminals involved in criminal cases to justice. He said that the police and prosecuting officers should unite and take concrete steps to instill fear in the law and send the criminals to jail to undergo punishment. The District Magistrate directed all the SHOs to take immediate action on the Goondas Act and to take punitive action against those who commit crimes continuously. He stressed on the priority of maintaining peace and law and order in the district. He said that the police should take even the smallest incident in the area seriously and take effective action immediately so that such incident does not recur and becomes a cause of great danger in future. The District Magistrate asked the prosecuting officers to ensure that criminal cases related to gangsters, women and children are disposed of within the stipulated time period. While preparing the list of pending cases, prepare a comprehensive action plan and ensure disposal of pending cases. The District Magistrate directed all the Deputy District Magistrates and all the COs to take action against the miners under the Goonda Act and to seize the vehicles used in mining immediately. Instructions were given to remove the encroachments happening at major squares, roads, markets etc. places of the city immediately. He said that it should be ensured that the loudspeakers should not be installed again at those places from where the loudspeakers were removed. Giving strict instructions to the ARTO administration, he said that school vehicles should not be operated in any condition without a fitness certificate. By running a campaign, he directed to take action against the ragged vehicles and immediately remove the vehicle stands operating without permission on the side of the roads. In case of non-availability of parking space in the dhabas operating in the district, make sure to close it and stop the vehicles coming to the dhabas at a distance of 15-20 feet from the main road.
