Three-year-old young tigress P-213 (63) died under suspicious circumstances in the Beit Rampura buffer of Amanganj buffer, the forest range of the park. Several injury marks and deep wounds have been found on the body of the tigress near the shoulder and neck. The post-mortem revealed that the young tigress was pregnant. The death of a young pregnant tigress is being seen as a big loss for the Panna Tiger Reserve management. Because, she was pregnant for the first time. This is the second incident of tiger death in a month. Earlier, there was a sensational disclosure of the famous tiger of Panna, Hira being hunted by current in the neighboring district of Satna forest.
Giving information, Uttam Kumar Sharma, the field director of Panna Tiger Reserve, said that Badhin P-213 (63), who was born and brought up in Panna Tiger Reserve, was patrolling on Wednesday, November 10, at around 1 pm, during the patrol of the area of Amanganj buffer, in the room of Rampura buffer. Found dead in number- 1357. As soon as the information was received, Area Director, Deputy Director, Panna Tiger Reserve and Wildlife Doctor Dr. Sanjeev Gupta and representatives of National Tiger Conservation Authority reached the spot and inspected the incident site. No evidence of any illegal activity was found on the spot. After the post-mortem of the dead in the presence of officials, the cremation was done in the forest.
Area Director Mr. Sharma says that prima facie the death of the tigress appears to be natural. However, in response to a question, he said that many injury marks and wounds have been found around the shoulder and neck of the dead tigress. In which the shoulder wound was very deep.
