The injured soldiers include Cobra 201 Commandant Lakhveer, Deputy 201 Cobra Assistant Commandant Rajesh Panchal, 201 Cobra Head Constable Khedkar Ramdas, Head Constable Akhilesh Yadav, Head Constable Harendra Singh, Head Constable Mohammad Irfan, Head Constable, Cobra 201 Constable Gopinath Basumtadi, Constable Manoj Nath, constable Vikas Kumar, constable Benudhar Sahu, constable T. Madhukumar, constable Malkit Singh, constable E. Venkatesh, constable Avinash Sharma, constable Raut Omprakash and all the injured soldiers belong to Cobra 201 battalion.
Bastar IG Sundarraj P said that to curb Naxal activity in Jagargunda Tekalgudem village of Sukma district, a border area in Sukma-Bijapur district, a new security camp was established on Tuesday, January 30 to benefit the people of the area with basic facilities. Went. After setting up the camp of the security forces, the Maoists opened fire on the joint force of Cobra, STF and DRG soldiers who were patrolling and searching in the Jonaguda-Aliguda area. The security forces also gave a befitting reply to the Maoist firing and retaliated. Seeing the increasing pressure from the security forces, the Maoists fled under the cover of the forest. In this encounter, 3 soldiers were sacrificed and 15 soldiers were injured. More than 6 Maoists are reported to have died due to bullet injuries in this encounter.
Here, the condition of all the injured soldiers is out of danger, and the injured soldiers are undergoing treatment at Medical College Jagdalpur, Narayana Hospital Raipur and Balaji Hospital Raipur. He told that all the soldiers are out of danger.
The morale of the soldiers is strong
Bastar IG Sundarraj P said that a camp has been set up in the area for the development and security of the villagers. This camp will remain here permanently. He said that the morale of the soldiers is high and the operation against Maoists will continue in the area in the coming days. He told that PLGA battalion of Maoists is active in the area, its dominance will be ended and peace will be established in the area.

It is noteworthy that in the year 2021, 23 soldiers were martyred in the police-Naxalite encounter in Tekalgudem forest. On Tuesday, soldiers had gone out to search this area, during which there was an encounter with security forces and Maoists at the said spot itself. After the encounter, searching has been intensified by the security forces in the area.
