Chandigarh (EMS). Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, a veteran Congress leader, may leave BJP and go back to Congress. However, at present he is counted among the big leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party. These days, speculations about his return home have started increasing. It is being told that he had also met Sonia Gandhi recently.
However, Captain Amarinder Singh himself has reacted to all these speculations. He has also said that he is not going to return to Congress. Two-time former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Saturday dismissed rumors that he had met Congress leader Sonia Gandhi. It is noteworthy that the Captain had left Congress and formed his own party. Which later merged with BJP. He said that these are just rumours. The former CM said that he is committed to the BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and party president JP Nadda. He has made up his mind forever and will always remain committed to the BJP. He said, at such a level you do not look back.
He said that it is the principle of his life that a decision once taken can never be taken back. There was speculation in Punjab politics that the Punjab Congress leadership was in talks with some of its former leaders. He is being persuaded to return to the party for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
