    Smoked cigarette in flight’s washroom, ruckus over not finding non-veg tasty

    New Delhi: The cases of cigarette smoking in flight are also increasing. Another such case has now come to the fore in an Air India flight coming from Kolkata to Delhi. Where a passenger smoked a cigarette in the washroom of the flight. Apart from this, in another case, a passenger on an Air Astana flight coming from Almaty to Delhi created a ruckus because the non-veg dinner was not tasty.

    In-flight cigarette smoking incident took place in Air India flight number-AI-763 from Kolkata to Delhi. This flight was coming to Delhi on the morning of 4th March. In this flight, a passenger named Anil Meena is accused of smoking cigarette inside the washroom. After coming to Delhi, he had to catch a further flight to Udaipur. Police probing the matter found that the passenger went to the washroom with a cigarette and a matchbox. Smoke started coming out from inside the washroom and the alarm went off. Washroom was opened immediately. After this, the cigarette and matchbox of the passenger were snatched. The matter was immediately informed to Delhi ATC. The accused passenger was handed over to the police as soon as the flight landed in Delhi. Where legal action was taken against it. During police interrogation, the accused passenger told that he is a chain smoker. When the cigarette was not found for a long time, he went to the washroom to smoke a cigarette. He didn’t know that this would sound the alarm.

    Significantly, before this, a video went viral last year in the case of smoking in flight. In which a passenger named Bobby Kataria was accused of smoking on a SpiceJet flight coming from Dubai to Delhi on January 21. Similarly, on February 10 this year, a passenger named N Singh was accused of smoking in Air India flight 188 from Toronto to Delhi.

    Apart from this, in Air Astana flight KC-963 from Almaty to Delhi, a passenger named Sukhwinder Chadha was accused of creating a ruckus for not serving good non-veg in dinner. The flight landed at T-3 of IGI Airport on the midnight of March 4-5. The accused passenger was to be handed over to the police after the flight landed, but the passenger realized his mistake in time. He apologized in writing for his actions and requested not to hand over the matter to the police.
