Dausa, (His). Last night, a bus full of passengers broke the railing of the overbridge and fell near the railway track on the railway overbridge passing near the Collectorate. 4 people died in the accident, while 29 were injured. 7 passengers seriously injured in the accident have been referred to Sawai Mansingh Hospital in Jaipur. After the accident, the Delhi-Jaipur railway route remained closed for about two and a half hours.
According to the information, the private bus was going from Haridwar to Udaipur. As soon as it reached the overbridge at around 2 o’clock in the night, the driver dozed off and the bus broke the railing and fell 30 feet below near the railway track. There was chaos on the spot after the accident. Collector Qamar Chaudhary and ASP Bajrang Singh Shekhawat reached the spot. These officers, after talking to the railway officials, got the Delhi-Jaipur railway route closed and sent the injured to Dausa District Hospital. There were more than 35 passengers in the bus, who were returning home after immersing the ashes in Haridwar.
Four bus passengers died
Chandana Parveen (60), resident of Nadia, West Bengal, along with a woman and two men died in the accident. The three deceased have not been identified. Whose bodies have been kept in the mortuary of the district hospital.
29 passengers injured, condition of 7 critical
The victims of this horrific accident remained trapped in the bus for about an hour and were taken out after a lot of effort. 29 passengers have been injured in this accident, most of whom are residents of Jaipur, Tonk and West Bengal. In the accident, Hastimal resident of Agadia Rajsamand, Ankit Kashyap resident of Haridwar, Nandkishore, Geeta Bai and Lalita Bai resident of Sabalgarh Bundi, Sadhi resident of Sodala Jaipur, Ajaypal Singh resident of Dataramgarh Sikar, Vidya Devi resident of Gangauri Bazar Jaipur, Devanand, Mohamaya, Dipankar resident of Murshidabad Kolkata, Usha Koli, Kishan Devi, Chelli resident Jaipur, Munshi resident Bengal, Roopnarayan resident Joshi Colony Jaipur, Gulabchand resident Badi Chaupar Jaipur, Lalaram Saini, Radha and Santara Saini resident Niwai Tonk, Sohanlal resident Goner Jaipur, Mohammad Qasim resident Ajmer, Sunita Devi resident Pratap Nagar Chittorgarh, Omi Devi Mahawar resident Gangapol Jaipur, Akshara Kumar resident Malpura Tonk, Mausumi resident Murshidabad West Bengal are included. Of these, 7 seriously injured have been referred to Jaipur.
Disrupted rail service restored
Due to the accident, up and down tracks between Bhankri-Dausa railway section of Bandikui-Jaipur railway section of Jaipur division were disrupted. On receiving the information, an accident relief vehicle was dispatched from Jaipur. Officials and employees of the railway administration and local administration immediately reached the site and started work in the night itself. The road crane reached the site at 4 pm and cleared the railway track by removing the passenger bus at 4.45 pm. At 5.05 the railway track was declared fit for train operation. Due to this, train number 12957, Ahmedabad-New Delhi train service and train number 19412, Daulatpur Chowk-Sabarmati train service were affected.
