What happened in the Legislative Council
Education Minister Chandrashekhar once again narrated the controversial statement in the council regarding Ramcharitmanas. But in this sequence surrounded by the leaders of his own alliance. Even troubled by his conduct, the Speaker adjourned the House without passing the budget of his department. A day before this i.e. last Monday, during the discussion on the education budget in the Vidhansabha, some words were spoken on Ramcharitmanas. On Tuesday, the bet in the Legislative Council turned upside down. After the lunch break, the Education Minister was surrounded by JDU and his party RJD in the House. During the discussion on the education budget, instead of talking about education, the minister again started keeping the controversial aspect of Ramcharitmanas in the House. That’s why Neeraj Kumar, the whip of the ruling party, criticized the first education minister fiercely. He urged the Speaker Devesh Chandra Thakur to stop making this controversial statement of the Education Minister a part of the proceedings of the House.

JDU leader raging on education minister
Like the Vidhansabha, Education Minister Chandrashekhar had reached the Vidhan Parishad with many other books apart from Shri Ramcharitmanas. He was busy in justifying his controversial statement. Also said that his views on these books should be made a part of the proceedings. But only then Neeraj Kumar lodged an objection. JDU MLC stood up in the house and said that do not make it a part of the proceedings. If we make it part of the proceedings, then we will start discussing about many periods. Should we discuss the constitution or remain stuck on Ramayana-Mahabharata or Quran. Along with this, Neeraj also gave advice to the Education Minister by referring to various episodes of Ramayana, Shrimadbhagwadgita, Quran Sharif and Bible.
More members protested
Supporting the advice of former Information Minister Neeraj Kumar, independent member Maheshwar Singh also criticized the statement of the Education Minister. After this, Independent Maheshwar Singh said that you have brought the issue of Vidhansabha in this house. There is no casteism in education. We also salute the scheduled caste teacher by touching his feet. There are good things in the whole Ramayana, but you are not your own. Singh got the support of Sunil Kumar Singh, deputy chief whip of the ruling party. MLC Sunil Singh said frankly that we are sitting here to listen to this discussion? How does the education minister want to take education forward? Tell it. After this, the Chairman said that we respect your sentiments. But today it is not discussed. The opposition has not discussed these topics. There is no need to discuss what you are discussing. There is a budget on education, it should be discussed. At last, troubled by the conduct of the Education Minister, the Speaker adjourned the House.
What does the education minister want
In political circles, instead of repeatedly speaking on the education budget in front of the Chairman, the discussion on Ramcharitmanas is being considered as a political effort. Where the intention of mobilization of backward and Muslim opinion is hidden. This is the reason why the Education Minister kept on speaking on Ramcharitmanas instead of the budget even amidst the noise of the members of the ruling party. That too when Chairman Devesh Chandra Thakur reminded him that the issue of education was being discussed. You didn’t say anything on that. What is the current education situation of Bihar? What provision has been made in the budget? You didn’t even mention that. We are repeatedly urging discussion on the budget. There is no discussion on the purpose for which we are present.
What do experts say?
Political experts have different views on the matter. Political analyst Arun Pandey believes that the entire Bihar is in the mood for elections. Look at the one who seems to be strengthening his winning equation. Prof. Chandrashekhar is the Education Minister, that is one aspect. But he is also a politician and understands the politics of Madhepura and Saharsa very well. Who knows when the elections will be held in the current political scenario? For this, Chandrashekhar is giving direction to the unity of backward votes and Muslim votes. In this way, Sadhya became Ramcharimanas. That’s all.
