In the Mumbai drugs case, in the last few days, Sameer Wankhede, who is the zonal director of NCB, is constantly being accused. Nawab Malik has lost his hands after NCB and Sameer Wankhede, just recently Nawab Malik accused Sameer that he got government job through fake certificate, he is not actually a Dalit but a Muslim. For the first time on this allegation, Kranti Wankhede, wife of Sameer Wankhede gave a statement, she tweeted that I and Sameer are Hindu, we are both born in Hindu family and we have married with all Hindu customs.
Sameer Wankhede’s wife Kranti Redkar Wankhede shared their wedding photo on Twitter and wrote, “My husband and I are both Hindus by birth, we never converted our religion. We respect all religions. Sameer’s father is also a Hindu who married my Muslim mother-in-law. My mother-in-law is no longer in this world. Sameer’s first marriage was under the Special Marriage Act, Sameer got divorced from his first wife in 2016. We were married in 2017 under the Hindu Marriage Act”.
Nawab Malik’s charge
Nawab Malik on the previous day accused Sameer Wankhede of getting a government job by getting a fake caste certificate. Nawab Malik then shared a birth certificate on social media and claimed that this certificate belonged to Sameer Wankhede. In that birth certificate, the name of the child’s father is mentioned as “David K. Wankhede” and in the column of religion, Muslim is written. Nawab Malik wrote under the picture of the certificate shared that the forgery of Sameer Dawood Wankhede started from here.
On this tweet of Nawab Malik, KRK took a jibe and said that “This man #SameerDawoodWankhede is a master of fraud since childhood. The name is Dawood, so obviously the work will be the same”.
Sameer Wankhede releases press release
On the allegations being made by Nawab Malik, Sameer Wankhede said in a press release that I belong to a multi-religious family. My father Gyandev Kachruji Wankhede is a retired police officer, he is Hindu by religion and my late mother was a Muslim by Zahida religion. He further said that I come from a family that believes in secular Indian traditions and culture. I married Shabana Qureshi, a Muslim lady doctor in 2006, but we both got divorced in 2016 with each other’s consent. In 2017 I married Kranti Deenanath Redkar.
