Bijnor. On the second day of Nutrition Week at Krishna College, Bijnor, College Founder Director Rajeev Kumar, Manager Manoj Kumar, Director Pawan Kumar, Krishna College of Law Principal Dr. Parvez Ahmed Khan, Krishna College of Science Principal Dr. Seema Sharma congratulated the girl students. He praised the work skills and encouraged the children.
In which all the students of Home Science Department participated enthusiastically in the “Salad Competition”. In which the students prepared delicious salads from different types of vegetables like beetroot, cucumber, onion, radish, carrot, etc. and fruits like apple, banana, pineapple etc. on the theme of this year, “Affordable Healthy Diet for All”. The students demonstrated their talent by making food and suggested to consume fruits containing Vitamin C (seasonal, amla, lemon) etc. in the diet to increase immunity. For the increasing health problems in the society like high blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease, information was given about the health benefits of including high fiber diet and vegetable salads in the diet.
The role of the jury was played by Dr. Shoma Singh and Dr. Payal Rathi.
In this competition, Ifra Naaz of (B.Sc. 1st year) got first position, Saima Khanum (M.Sc. 2nd semester) got 2nd position and Pallavi (M.Sc. 1st semester) got 3rd position.
Dr. Shalini Sharma, Head of the Department of Home Science, Assistant Lecturer Mrs. Ayesha, Ms. Seema, Mrs. Neha Babbar, Mrs. Jyoti Chauhan had commendable contribution in the successful conduct of the program.
