Chhattisgarh Chief Minister (Chhattisgarh Cm News) Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday urged the central government to return to the state the amount of Rs 15,000 crore spent on central security forces deployed for anti-Naxal operations in the state. In the meeting of state finance ministers and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held here, Baghel has also demanded payment of GST compensation from the Center.

CM Bhupesh Baghel has gone to Delhi to attend the meeting of finance ministers of the states. He has put his points in front of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The CM has demanded from the Union Finance Minister that the coal block companies have also been asked to transfer the amount taken as ‘additional recovery’. Simultaneously during the pre-budget meeting, the Chief Minister said that the economy of the state has been affected due to the disruption of economic activities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In this meeting, Bhupesh Baghel has demanded from the Central Government to return the amount of Rs. The CM has suggested to change the revenue deficit grant parameters, so that the states which follow financial discipline and have reached the situation of revenue deficit due to the situation also get equitable benefits.
