Results of six out of 7 assembly seats in 6 states of the country have come. Of these, BJP has won two seats in Tripura and one seat in Uttarakhand. The Puthuppally seat in Kerala went to the Congress. At the same time, Trinamool Congress has won one seat in Bengal. JMM has won on behalf of INDIA Alliance in Jharkhand. In Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party’s Sudharak Singh has defeated BJP candidate Dara Singh by 42672 thousand votes. By-elections were held on these seven seats on September 5. Out of these, 5 seats – Ghosi (UP), Bageshwar (Uttarakhand), Dumri (Jharkhand), Boxanagar and Dhanpur (Tripura) – were contested by INDIA alliance parties together. Opposition parties were in the fray against each other in Dhupguri (Bengal) and Puthupalli (Kerala) seats.
Ghosi seat of UP
Here Sudhakar Singh of Samajwadi Party (SP) has won on behalf of INDIA alliance. Sudhakar has defeated Dara Singh of BJP by 42672 votes. Regarding the victory, SP leader Shivpal Yadav has tweeted that Samajwadi Party Zindabad, Akhilesh Yadav Zindabad In July, Dara Singh Chauhan resigned from Samajwadi Party and joined BJP. Since then the Ghosi seat was vacant.
Jharkhand’s Dumri seat: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha’s (JMM) Baby Devi from the INDIA alliance has won the Dumri seat. Although its official announcement is yet to be done, but according to the statistics, he has defeated AJSU candidate Yashoda Devi from NDA by 13000 thousand votes.
Bageshwar seat of Uttarakhand
BJP’s Parvati Das has won from Bageshwar seat in Uttarakhand. He has defeated Basant Kumar of INC. After the demise of MLA Chandan Ram Das, the BJP had fielded his wife Parvati Das as its candidate for the seat. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami congratulated Parvati Das after her victory in the Bageshwar bypoll. CM wrote on Twitter – This historic victory dedicated to nationalism, public welfare and good governance will write a new chapter in the all-round development of Bageshwar.
Boxanagar and Dhanpur seats of Tripura
BJP has won both the assembly seats in Tripura. From Dhanpur BJP candidate Bindu Debnath defeated CPI(M) candidate Kaushik Chanda by 18 thousand 871 votes. Tafazzal Hussain of BJP has won from Boxanagar seat by defeating Mizan Hussain of CPI(M) by a margin of 30 thousand 237 votes. The bypoll was held in Boxanagar due to the death of CPI(M) MLA Samsul Haque. Dhanpur seat had become vacant after the resignation of Union Minister of State Pratima Bhowmik from the post of MLA.
Puthuppally seat of Kerala
Chandy Auman of Congress has defeated Jack C Thomas of CPI (M) from Puthuppalli seat by a margin of more than 37 thousand votes. This seat had become vacant after the death of Congress leader and former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. Congress had fielded Chandy Oman, son of Oman Chandy, on this seat. Senior leader Lijin Lal was in the fray from BJP.
Dhupguri seat of West Bengal
Trinamool Congress has won Dhupguri seat of Bengal. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee gave this information on Twitter. TMC candidate Nirmal Chandra Roy and BJP’s Taapsee Roy saw a close fight from the beginning till the end of counting. TMC has defeated BJP by about four thousand votes. Congress and TMC, members of the INDIA Alliance, contested against each other on this seat. The Congress supported the CPI(M) candidate Ishwar Chandra Roy.

The third meeting of the Indian National Developmental Alliance (INDIA) of opposition parties was held in Mumbai.
