After the incident in Lakhimpur Kheri, the anger of the farmers has increased. The growing resentment of the farmers can prove fatal for the UP government in the coming elections. The entire opposition is united on the Lakhimpur Kheri issue and farmers’ leader Rakesh Tikait is also challenging the government equally. Now Rakesh Tikait has threatened the government and said that the agitation will continue and will not stop till the aggrieved farmers get justice. On the other hand, taking action, the UP Police has arrested two accused in the case. Police have also pasted summons outside the house of State Home Minister Ajay Mishra Teni.
Action should be taken against the minister and the minister’s son
Rakesh Tikait, the leader of the farmers, said that if needed, we will return the government’s 2.5 crore rupees. He also said that the agitation will continue till the minister is not sacked and strict action is not taken against the minister’s son. He said that all the questions are still there, the agreement which was done there was limited to the cremation…we have to agitate…the whole country has to do it and we are free for that, but to stop someone’s body is only up to a limit. was okay. He further said in his statement that the government has been given time till 12th and on 12th the whole country will see the next decision.

Will return the compensation of the government – Tikait
Regarding the compensation given by the government to the families of the victims, Tikait said that we have given the government’s money which is 2.5 crore rupees to the five farmers. We will return them… He said that the administration had asked for 8 days time and they had said that the last rites are our priority. It is worth mentioning that the minister’s convoy had allegedly rammed the farmers who were protesting in Lakhimpur Kheri. In which 8 people died. Giving financial help, the government had announced a grant of Rs 45 lakh to the family of the deceased farmers. The injured were given a compensation of Rs 10 lakh.
