Bharatpur, (Hindus). 11 people died in a collision between a bus and a truck at 5:30 am on Wednesday near Hantara on Agra-Jaipur National Highway-21 of Lakhanpur police station area in Bharatpur district. More than 12 people have been injured in the accident. Among those who died, 6 were women and 5 were men. All of them are residents of Bhavnagar, Gujarat. According to police and administration, the death toll may increase. There were more than 45 people in the bus.
According to the police, the bus was going from Bhavnagar to Haridwar via Mathura. In the morning the bus suddenly broke down on the Bharatpur-Agra highway. The driver and his companion and other passengers got off the bus. The driver and his companions were repairing the technical fault of the bus when a truck hit it and ran over the people standing on the side.
During this time, the drivers of other vehicles passing by saw unconscious people lying on the road, called the police and called an ambulance. After the accident, the bodies scattered on the highway. The people present there removed each dead body from the middle of the road and kept it aside. All the bodies have been kept in the mortuary of Bharatpur District Hospital.
There was a jam on the highway. Police said that it is not yet known which vehicle caused the collision. The condition of the injured remains critical. He will be interrogated once he regains consciousness.
According to Lakhanpur Police, the deceased included Antubhai son of Lalji (55), Nandram son of Mayur (68), Bharat son of Bhikha, Lallu son of Dayabhai, Lalji son of Manjibhai, Amba wife of Jheena, Kambu son of Popat, Ramu son of Uda, Madhu son of Arvind. Tainted, Anju wife Thapa, Madhu wife Lalji Chudasama are included. All are residents of Dihor in Bhavnagar district of Gujarat.
A passenger of the bus said that there was some fault in the bus at around 4 in the morning, hence the bus was standing near Hantara culvert. The driver and one of his colleagues had gone to get diesel. About 10-12 passengers got down from the bus and stood behind the bus. During this, the speeding truck crushed everyone. The passenger told that he had left for Vrindavan after having dinner from Pushkar at 10 pm on Tuesday night. There were a total of 57 passengers in the bus.
