The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert regarding rain in 10 cities of Haryana. There are chances of light to moderate rain in these cities. In these cities, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in Radaur, Ambala, Barada, Jagadhri, Narayangarh, Panchkula, Thanesar, Shahabad, Kalka, Chhachhrauli. During this period, there will be a drop in the minimum temperature at night due to strong winds.
At the same time, Panchkula has received the highest rainfall in 24 hours, 9MM rainfall was recorded here. Apart from this, there has been 3 mm rainfall in Panipat, 1.5 mm rainfall in Gurugram and Sonipat.
The pace of monsoon had slowed down in Haryana for the past several days, but once again the mood of the weather has changed. It also rained at night at other places including Panipat. On the other hand, according to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in the state once again from September 13.
0.8 MM rain this week
The entire state received just 0.8 MM rainfall this week, which is a huge decline of 97 per cent compared to the normal rainfall level of 28.5 MM for this period. At the same time, under the monsoon season, from June 1 to September 7, the state received 378.8 MM rainfall, which is about one percent less than the normal rainfall level of 382 MM during this period.
Drought like situation in 18 districts
In the first week of September, almost drought conditions were observed in 18 districts of the state. Except Kurukshetra, Mewat, Palwal and Yamunanagar, all other districts of the state saw a 100 percent decline in the normal rainfall levels during this period. Whereas there was a decline of about 97 percent in Kurukshetra, 70 percent in Mewat, 95 percent in Palwal and 90 percent in Yamunanagar.
1% less rain in monsoon season
According to the weather forecast, the first week of September in Haryana remained dry in terms of rain activities. According to the weekly report of the Meteorological Center, there was a huge decrease in the level of rainfall in the state during the period from September 1 to 7. The minimum temperature is moving above normal in the entire state. While the maximum temperature has been recorded in the normal range.
