New Delhi (Hindustan Times). Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday flagged off the Vande Bharat Express train from Dehradun to Delhi (Anand Vihar Terminal) through video conferencing. Earlier, the Prime Minister dedicated to the nation ‘100 percent electrification of railway tracks in Uttarakhand’.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi said that Uttarakhand is getting its first Vande Bharat Express from Dehradun to Delhi today. This train will ensure ‘ease of travel’ as well as greater convenience for the citizens of Uttarakhand. This express will reduce the travel time of the people.
He said that India is being looked upon with great hope. The world wants to come here to see India and understand the essence of India. In such a situation, there are excellent opportunities for states like Uttarakhand. Vande Bharat train is also going to help in enjoying the journey to Uttarakhand to the fullest.
Regular service of train number 22458/22457 Dehradun – Anand Vihar Terminal – Dehradun Vande Bharat Express train will start from May 29 in both the directions. Train number 22458 Dehradun – Anand Vihar Terminal Vande Bharat Express train will leave Dehradun at 7.00 am and reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 11.45 am the same day.
While in the return direction, train number 22457 Anand Vihar Terminal – Dehradun Vande Bharat Express train will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 05.50 pm and reach Dehradun at 10.35 pm the same day. This train will stop at Haridwar, Roorkee, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar L and Meerut City stations in both directions en route. It will run six days a week except Wednesday.
