Rajasthan Politics: Before the assembly elections going to be held in Rajasthan at the end of the year, the difficulties for the Congress may increase further. Former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot is not the only MLA who is raising Gehlot’s pulse. These are 19 more MLAs because of which the political temperature is almost certain to rise.
Congress candidates unitedly expressed their displeasure
13 assembly seats were won by independents and where BSP candidates won 6 seats. The leaders who were candidates of Congress on these 19 seats had expressed displeasure in the past. In the year 2018 elections, the leaders who were candidates of Congress on these 19 seats had come to the state Congress office and expressed their anguish in front of the state in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa. He said that instead of listening to the leaders of his party, the state government is giving importance to the MLAs who defeated the Congress. 6 and 13 independent MLAs from BSP are doing their own thing. The Congress government has given them a free hand. Instead of Congress leaders, postings are being transferred on their own desire.
Ashok Gehlot has told himself the guardian
In July 2020, the Congress government of the state had passed through a period of crisis. In August 2020, the situation was rectified and the government was saved. In those days, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, while thanking the 6 MLAs from BSP and 13 independent MLAs along with the MLAs of his party, said that the government has survived only because of your support. Gehlot had said that he would never be able to forget the gratitude of the MLAs who helped save the government. Along with this, Gehlot also promised that he would act as a guardian of all. He will always take care of those who save the government and will try to obey them. Now after 7-8 months there are assembly elections in the state.
This is how the situation of confrontation will happen!
Apparently all the 6 MLAs who came from BSP to Congress will present claim for ticket in upcoming assembly elections. Most of the 13 independent MLAs will also be contenders for the ticket due to their Congress background. Along with this, the Congress leaders who lost the elections in the year 2018 will also seek tickets on those 19 assembly seats. In such a situation, a situation of confrontation is going to arise in front of the Congress leadership. Independent MLAs have their own workers. While Congress leaders and workers have been continuously opposing the independent MLAs. If independent or BSP leaders are given tickets on the recommendation of Ashok Gehlot, then Congress workers and leaders are justified in getting angry. In such a situation, the situation of confrontation is bound to happen.
These are 13 independents and 6 MLAs from BSP
Independent MLAs include Sanyam Lodha, Babulal Nagar, Baljit Yadav, Mahadev Singh Khandela, Alok Beniwal, Laxman Meena, Omprakash Hoodla, Ramkesh Meena, Ramila Khadia, Khushveer Singh Jojawar, Rajkumar Gaur, Kanti Prasad Meena and Suresh Tak. In these 13 independents, except Suresh Tak and Omprakash Hoodla, all the other MLAs are from Congress background. The 6 MLAs who won on the symbol of BSP are Jogendra Singh Awana, Rajendra Singh Gudha, Deepchand Kheria, Lakhan Meena, Sandeep Yadav and Wajib Ali. The Congress government has been particularly kind to these MLAs. Independent MLAs Sanyam Lodha and Babulal Nagar are advisors to the chief minister. Out of 6 MLAs who came from BSP to Congress, 1 Rajendra Singh Gudha is Minister of State and other 5 have been given charge in various boards.Report – Ramswaroop Lamrod
