People hired for Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir are trying to push Kashmiri youth into terrorism and using them only as terror ponies. If Kashmiri youth want to leave the path of violence, then the elements working on the hire can kill them. Senior security officials said this on Sunday.
Earlier this month, referring to the details of the encounter in Budgam and phone calls of 24-year-old Shahzadpura resident Wasim Qadir Mir, officials said he became the latest victim of the brutal treatment of Pakistani terrorists who killed him in central Kashmir on January 6. He was killed in Jhoi village of the district when there was an encounter with the security forces.
He said that during the search operation, Mir was surrounded by two Pakistani accomplices after which the encounter started. He said till morning it was normal news that the security forces had eliminated another terror group but what was unusual was the developments during the night encounter.
A senior officer involved in the encounter said, “During the encounter, Mir wanted to lay down his arms and it was possible that his aim was to surrender to the security forces but he was forced to continue firing by two Pakistani terrorists who were accompanying him.” Later, other information, including post-mortem, confirmed that Mir was killed by his own comrades as they had failed to resist Mir’s attempt to surrender, he said.
It is noteworthy that Mir had dropped out of school midway and initially he worked as an over ground worker for terrorist organizations and in December 2020, Jaish-e-Mohammed commander and Pakistani terrorist Saifullah alias Lambu Bhai. He was recruited into his organization. Officials said that though Mir did not serve long as a terrorist, he had a long list of terrorist activities. He was also involved in the Jevan attack on December 13 last year in which three policemen were martyred and 11 others were injured.
He said that he was probably not able to join the mainstream again due to his involvement in many terrorist activities but when he was given an opportunity to save his life by the security forces, he could not use it as his own comrades used it. Known as a “terror pony”. Officials said the incident exposes the ugly face of the so-called local independence movement and also shows the great human tragedy of the Valley which it has been facing for the past three decades because of Pakistan-based terror groups.
As far as Kashmir is concerned, keeping a local youth in it by infiltrating a large number of Pakistani terrorists and forming a group of three-four terrorists is the old practice of Pakistan. Officials said Pakistan’s strategy is aimed at misleading the global community and projecting terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir as a local insurgency led by local youth. He said that he is doing this by creating pseudo-terrorist groups like Kashmir Tigers and Resistance Front (TRF), which are masked factions of banned terror outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e Taiba respectively.
He said, but the reality is that in the last years, local people have been recruited only as terrorist ponies who only act as guides of Pakistani terrorists and can handle the misleading propaganda campaign of Pakistan and terrorism in the Valley. keep the factory running.
