Shimla, Aug 11 (PTI) More than 100 kg of narcotic substance was destroyed in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu on Thursday. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur gave this information in a press release. In the last several months, the work of destroying 110 kg charas and 6.02 kg heroin seized was done by the high-powered drug de-addiction committee. The committee was headed by Deputy Inspector General of Police, Central Range, Mandi Madhusudan. According to the press release, representatives of Pollution Control Board Kullu and media persons were also present on the occasion. The value of destroyed narcotics is estimated at Rs 5 crore in the international market.
