Katihar News : Due to the havoc of smallpox in the district, people are upset. There is an outbreak of small pox in Bhatwada village of Kodha block. Apart from children, old people and women have come in the grip of this disease. So far more than 2 dozen people have got chicken pox in this area.
Civil surgeon of Katihar spoke on the matter
After the outbreak of smallpox in Kodha block of Katihar, the health department is talking about getting information. According to Civil Surgeon Jitendra Nath Singh, the health department is continuously monitoring this village. The situation has improved since the last two days. The number of new patients has not increased. The civil surgeon claims that the health department is giving medicines to the people affected by small pox. Along with this, people are also being made aware to stay in isolation. So that this disease can be stopped from spreading. Civil surgeon Jitendra Nath Singh said that a medical team has also been sent to the area. The Health Department is telling isolation as the best solution for this. On the other hand, there is a huge difference between the claims of the health department and the ground reality.
