News first! Dharmendra Soni, 42, was posted at the government school in Gamaria Ka Dera village of Simrod Panchayat in Guna district. He was single-handedly handling every arrangement of this school for years. In which everything from teaching children to their food and drinking and hospitality of senior officers was also included. He ended his life by hanging himself in the school on Tuesday, 18th April in the afternoon.
It has also been told that just a few days ago, the government had appointed another teacher along with him. That teacher was on leave these days. He lived in Guna city and used to go to school everyday. When the villagers saw Soni hanging in the school, they informed the police. The police got the post-mortem done. Soni was cremated on Wednesday. At present the police is investigating the matter.
The most important aspect of this suicide is that the young teacher ended his life because of the daily harassment and extortion of money by the senior officers of his own department. In this regard, he recorded the complete details in a letter before he died. Then hanged. This letter has currently been told to the police. Whatever Dharmendra Soni has written in this letter is the proof of the state’s condition, which cannot be imagined in the education department.
Soni has written mentioning the names of two senior officers of his department and how they were blackmailing him. How they were harassed for small things. How these two officers used to make regular recovery from them. According to the information, Dharmendra Soni had put all his pain on paper before wearing the noose of death. There is documentary proof of the leprosy that has spread inside the primary education system of the state government.
Dharmendra’s suicide is being investigated as per the government system. Both those officers have been removed, whose names have been written in the suicide note as Dharmendra. What will happen next… Police knows! Dharmendra Soni, who was managing the school alone for ten years, was freed by sacrificing himself.
Till now you must have heard about corruption in all the departments of the government. The stories of all the departments are published in the newspapers daily. Tales of siphoning government money also remain in headlines everyday. Be it the news of Karam dam breaking or the newly built bridge flowing in Mandideep, located next to the capital Bhopal! Be it the matter of distribution of share in the Ayushman scheme or the monthly recovery of the transport department. Whether it is collection of ‘sahib tax’ on behalf of Patwari for land measurement and transfer, or the practice of giving “Najrana” even after entering the police station.
It is also common to not get medicines in government hospitals and to collect fees separately from the doctor. Now the world knows about Vyapam. But it was not known to the common people that like Revenue, Transport, Health, Police, PWD, Excise and Women and Child Development Department, there is a chain of recovery in the Primary Education Department as well. Even the government system makes regular recovery. Yes, all the departments become same at the time of transfer, it was well known.
This is also happening when the Chief Minister, who has made the record of being the Chief Minister for the longest time in the state, has been continuously announcing from the stage that he will raze the corrupt to the ground. Will not tolerate at any cost! He also suspended many officers from the public platform. Everyday his new statement comes on corruption. Everyone knows.
The Chief is very concerned about the good education of the children of the state. That’s why he has opened CM Rise schools and has also made many big announcements. It is a different matter that thousands of government teachers like Dharmendra Soni are running their schools single-handedly. Thousands of schools do not have their own buildings. Where there are buildings, there are no basic facilities. Leave aside the matter of villages, the condition is bad even in the cities.
What should even the chiefs do? At least announce! Now if they are not implemented, which mountain will break. Something will happen sooner or later. It is not that Dharmendra Soni would not have told his agony to anyone before the final decision to end his life. It is not that the chief does not know about the “system”. Looking at the circumstances, it doesn’t even seem that the teacher running the school after Dharmendra Soni will be free from this mess.
This is how the ′′ system ′′ will work! The chief’s roar will also continue! It is difficult to say whether anything will change in Guna, the district of Raje Maharaj. But one thing is certain that like transport, revenue and police, the “Najrana” practice in school education department definitely surprises. In other departments, there is direct recovery from the public, but from where will the primary school teacher recover? He will either die for the rights of the children or cut his own stomach. The one who will not be able to do it, will become Dharmendra Soni. Who cares! The “system” will remain! Anyway, my mp3 is amazing! Is it or not?
