Nawada News: Bihar Police has arrested a notorious Naxalite who has been absconding for 10 years. Police is investigating the angle of involvement in other cases by contacting other police stations of Jamui district and bordering Jharkhand state about the arrested Naxalite besides Nawada.
Naxalite absconding for 10 years arrested
These days, on the instructions of Nawada SP, the police is running a special campaign to arrest criminals and Naxalites who are absconding in serious cases. In this episode, on Monday, Kauakol police raided with the help of SSB on secret information. During this, the police arrested Chhotu Mahato alias Chhotelal Prasad, father-Jogan Mahato, a notorious Naxalite and resident of Mahudar village of police station area. He was sent to jail in judicial custody. Several cases including murder, Arms Act have been registered against the arrested Naxalite.
Mastermind of the murder of LJP leader in 2015
Accused Naxalite Chhote Lal was also the mastermind of the murder of the then LJP leader and Teliagarhi village resident Mohammad Yasin Mian. The police have also seized the Hero Splendor bike used in the murder on the basis of the confession statement of the arrested Naxalite. Let us inform that Yasin Mian, the then district treasurer of LJP, was abducted from his house in 2015 by Naxalites and shot dead near Tarcol Dam. Chhotu Mahato was a wanted accused in this case and was absconding for years.
