    Nalanda News: Fire in Vaibhargiri mountain damages rare herbs, CM Nitish conducts aerial survey

    Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took stock of the fire in Vaibhargiri mountain in Rajgir by conducting an aerial survey. After taking stock of the fire in Vaibhargiri mountain, the Chief Minister also held a meeting with the officials in Nalanda. During this, CM Nitish Kumar gave several directions to the officials.

    Nalanda:Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday held a meeting with officials at the International Convention Center in Rajgir. During this meeting, the CM reviewed the damage caused by the fire on Mount Vaibhargiri. Before this, he did an aerial survey of the mountain and inquired about the damage. On April 16, for the first time, flames erupted on Mount Vaibhargiri, after which the fire could not be controlled for 48 hours. Firefighters from five districts were called in to douse the fire. During this, 36 fire engines and more than 500 personnel were engaged in extinguishing the fire.

    CM expressed concern over burning of rare herbs


    State Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar told that CM Nitish Kumar arrived in Rajgir to review the fire incident on Vaibhargiri mountain. He expressed deep concern over the burning of rare herbs after arson. Along with this, the officials of Nalanda, Nawada and Gaya have been instructed to remain alert so that such incidents do not recur in future. Apart from Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar, MP Kaushalendra Kumar, Chief Secretary Amir Subhani, Divisional Commissioner Ravi Kumar, DF Shashank Shubhankar and SP Ashok Mishra, other preferred officers were present in the review meeting with the CM.

    Major religious places on Vaibhargiri mountain

    There is also a major religious place on Vaibhargiri mountain. There are six Jain temples on Vaibhargiri mountain. It has shrines of Parshvanath Bhagwan, Mahavir Swami, Munisubrata Swami, Basupujya Bhagwan, Dhannashaali Bhadra and Gautam Swami.

    It is believed that Tirthankar Lord Mahavir spent fourteen Chaturmas in this Rajgir city. In such a situation, this mountain range is also a major religious place. Seeing its religious and botanical importance, after the incident of arson, now CM Nitish himself reviewed the whole situation. CM Nitish was about to visit Rajgir a day earlier but due to the scorching heat, he postponed his visit for a day. Many officers have also come from Patna along with them.
